One of our customers from Oro-Medonte, Ontario sent us these photos of a fantastic pizza oven he built.

Tom writes:
"Thought I’d pass along a couple of photos. I finished my pizza oven construction and made a lightweight wood frame out of cedar for the tarp. The tarp fits perfectly, keeping everything – oven and top of the base] 100% dry.
With the tarp slightly oversize, this makes it easy to get on and off. While the firebricks that are an integral part of a pizza oven can get wet, they can’t freeze when wet [risk of the bricks then cracking]. So, in our cold Canadian climate, an outdoor pizza oven must be completely protected from rain – accomplished with a custom made Heavy Duty Tarps vinyl tarp!
Best regards,
Tom"
When covering ovens, barbeques and other metal, you should make sure that air is allowed to flow around the item to prevent moisture from getting trapped, which leads to rust. Making the tarps oversized improves this air circulation.
Vinyl tarps will melt if exposed to heat so be sure to let the oven fully cool before covering it.
Our 18 oz vinyl comes in 12 different colors, so you can always find something to match your decor.
